BAFTA 2026: Ποιοι βρίσκονται ένα βήμα πριν τις επίσημες υποψηφιότητες;

Το BAFTA Film Awards 2026 μπαίνει σε κρίσιμη φάση, καθώς ανακοινώθηκαν οι longlists υποψηφιοτήτων, που αποτελούν το πρώτο σημαντικό βήμα πριν από τις επίσημες υποψηφιότητες.

Η φετινή χρονιά φαίνεται ιδιαίτερα ανταγωνιστική, με τον σκηνοθέτη Paul Thomas Anderson και την ταινία του One Battle After Another να κυριαρχεί, συγκεντρώνοντας ρεκόρ 16 θέσεων στη longlist, περισσότερες από οποιαδήποτε άλλη ταινία στην ιστορία των BAFTA.

Οι μεγάλες παραγωγές που ακολουθούν είναι το Hamnet της Κλόε Ζάο και το Sinners του Ryan Coogler, και οι δύο με 14 εμφανίσεις στη λίστα, δείχνοντας την ισχυρή παρουσία τους σε κατηγορίες όπως Καλύτερης Ταινίας και Σκηνοθεσίας, αλλά και σε πολλές ερμηνευτικές κατηγορίες.

Η ταινία των Josh Safdie, Marty Supreme, σημειώνει επίσης αξιοσημείωτη παρουσία με 13 θέσεις, ενώ οι Bugonia του Γιώργου Λάνθιμου και το Frankenstein του Guillermo del Toro έχουν από 12 προκρίσεις.

Ευρωπαϊκές ταινίες, όπως το Sentimental Value του Joachim Trier, αλλά και δυνατές βρετανικές παραγωγές όπως το I Swear και το βραβευμένο στο BIFA Pillion του Harry Lloyd, καταδεικνύουν την ποικιλία και τη διεθνή διάσταση της φετινής σεζόν.

Η δεύτερη φάση ψηφοφορίας για την επιλογή των υποψηφιοτήτων θα διεξαχθεί από τις 9 έως τις 20 Ιανουαρίου, με τις επίσημες υποψηφιότητες να ανακοινώνονται στις 27 Ιανουαρίου, για πρώτη φορά μετά από 24 χρόνια μετά τις υποψηφιότητες των Όσκαρ. Η τελετή απονομής θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 22 Φεβρουαρίου στο Royal Festival Hall του Λονδίνου, με παρουσιαστή τον Alan Cumming, προσφέροντας περισσότερες ημέρες στους ψηφοφόρους να αξιολογήσουν τα φιλμ.
